64 willes

I am looking at buying a 64 willies jeep can anyone out there give me some advice, what to look for, any common problems or if I should just stay away all together, I don't want to do a ton of 4 wheeling or anything it will mostly be a street queen but it is a jeep and I do have needs haha thanks

It's a Willys, pronounced Willis (Like the guy from the Die Hard movies)

Beware of Bubba and Rust.

This will probably get moved to the CJ forum by the Mods.

I thought the Willys name was dropped with the 1964 models?

And more info is needed. In 1964 Jeep had several models.

CJ-3B
CJ-5
CJ-6
FC-150 and FC-170
SJ Wagoneer and Gladiator

64 willies? Now that's a sausage fest.

Sent from my iPhone while wrestling a full grown giraffe to the ground with my bare hands.

what to look for on a almost 50 year old vehicle, how to get it home. a vehicle that old is a pos, but they all are not just yours. its how much money you want to put into it, its old, its worn out, its hard to find parts, its under power, its has weak parts. But don't let that stop you, drag it home.

Wrong,... They're not a POS. they're not under powered, they're not hard to find parts for. That's soooooooooo not even close to being correct! The parts are not weak. They're still around after all these yeas. Do you think the JK's will be 60 years from now???
Mine went from this,...

To this,...

Check out my build thread below.... They are fun and totally worth the headache. I did want to shoot mine a few times...
