2009 Rubicon
I am looking to purchase a 2 door Wrangler Rubicon, soft top, half doors, 6 speed manual tranny and got the following offer from a local dealer.
$29,190 Retail $25,918 Employee Pricing $2,500 Incentives $23,418 Price before taxes/etc Above price assumes Chrysler 0% for 36 months. Anyone have a read how that sounds deal wise?

I think thats pretty much the stock offer a dealer can make now - personally I think its a good deal since before all these rebates you wouldve killed for that price.
However - there is prob another $500-$1000 more to take off if you have the time to press the dealer - or try to get 2 others in a bidding war. |

Yep that's the deal any dealer will give you.
Now ask them what they will add to the mix. I would ask for another 2K off the price, be happy with 1500.00 and walk on anything less then 1000.00

$2500 on rebates/incentives is pretty good since the newest is $1000 + $500 + $500 military, if you're eligible. That's in the CO region, but searching around, seems to be about the norm. So, if you're getting another $500 on this, you're certainly in the ball park. There is some room below the EPP... depending on whether or not you're military, they may have already offered you $1000 on that. If so, I'd say you're doing very well. I doubt there's another $500 in there (Sorry, rudinator), since you've got very few options in there.
So, if you're getting $1500 in rebates, you're getting an additional $1000 below EPP - I think you're pretty good. If you're military and getting the $500 military, looks like you're at $500 below EPP; still good, but you might be able to do better. On the other hand, Wranglers are selling right now with their sales numbers up from last year, so they may be less willing to knock more off now that February's report is on the streets. I'd say offer 'em $500 less and if they take it, sign! |
