Hey all. I'm looking to get my first jeep and found a really nice 2006 LJ. It's got 60,000 miles on it, is super clean and overall in great condition. Drives like new! The only "problem" is that I have no idea what something like this is worth. They are asking $15,500. Is that too much? It appears that the price of these things in my area is crazy or maybe it's just me! Thanks.

Manual or Auto. Hard top, Soft top or both?
Depending on what it comes with, it may not be that bad.

Sorry. It's a 4.0 auto with a hard top.

Got him down to $14,400. Does that sound better?

I paid about that nearly three years ago with dual tops and just over 20K miles. I don't think it's a bad price depending on what you want to spend.

Jeeps hold their value really well, good for sellers but it is hard on buyers. Many don't think they should be paying 15K+ for a 6 year old vehicle. It just they way jeep are they have a high demand, to the supply.

around here that is a heck of a deal, and I would say jump on it. just depends on what your market supports AND what you are willing to pay.
That would probably start at 19K all day long here. I saw a 05 with 78K miles, auto and soft top that started at $18, watched the price fall into the $15900before it sold. So yeah that sounds like a prettygreat deal. But it is all relative
