2001 Jeep Wrangler (4 or 6 Cylinder?)

I'm looking into a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Down The road!

I forget if the guy told me it was a 4 cylinder or 6

Could Anyone tell me what a 2001 Jeep Wrangler PROBABLY would be??

I've been searching around on the internet and I'm discovering this was a dumb question. I take it it's just whatever engine he purchased with the vehicle originally?

My thought on this was they sold certain models/years with certain engines.

If it's and SE trim it would be a 4cyl,

If it's a sport, or Sahara it would be a 6 cyl.

I would get the 6 cyl, the 4cyl offers almost no mileage increase, and has considerably less power.
