1999 WJ Limited for $5k...deal or no deal?

I have been pouring over craigslist and several Jeep forums looking for a decent deal on a WJ. Found lots of over priced stuff, several scams, and some ok deals. So far this one at face value seems pretty good. I submitted a request form to a dealership in VA and I received a call shortly after, salesman stated that they just got in a Jeep last night that was a 1999 Limited with the 4.7L which is pretty much what I am looking for. He claims it is super nice and very clean (I think he said it was a local trade-in) and runs great which of course I would expect from a salesman. They are asking $4995 for the Jeep with 160,000 miles. I am about 2.5 hours from this place so it isn't that easy for me to just swing by and check it out. That is why I am checking with you folks to see if this is something to consider pursuing. Thanks.

There is also a 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo (I actually prefer the cloth seats) with 104,000 on Craigslist for $7500 obo. It is only a 4.0L though but that isn't a deal breaker. I just don't want to spend that much if I don't have to. I want to get a Jeep, tires, wheels, lift, and what ever other necessities I may need to go with the lift and keep things at or below $10k. The $7500 Jeep would be pushing it close.
