1997 Wrangler Sport, 5 speed, 173k

Hi all,

First post here. Looking to get back behind the wheel if a TJ after a few years away from one. A 1997, 4.0, 5 speed with 173k and a hardtop just popped for sale near me for $6000. Only issue is a little shimmy in the seat bar. Should I be concerned with buying this with 173k miles? It is going to be a third car and eventually a project jeep. Thoughts?

I agree with the prices being too high. The problem is, people are willing to buy them above KBB, so people sell them above KBB. If people stopped buying high, the prices would go down as the current owners sit on them.
