0% on new?

what is the deal with the 0% finance? i see the fine print says there is a monthly fee of 27.78$ per month per 1,000$ borrowed. is it really 0% is that kind of like points on a mortgage? i dont really get it. maybe im missing something. also says must take delivery by 7/2/2012, does that eman you must purchase by 7/2? 0% is no longer available 7/3?

That must be 0% for 36 months. The "$27.78 per $1000" borrowed is how they express the payment in relation to the loan. For example, $1000 borrowed / 36 month loan = $27.78 per month payment. So, $30,000 borrowed / 36 month loan = $833.33 per month OR $27.78 x 30 (Thirty $1000s) = $833.40 (There's some rounding in there that makes it a little off.) It's not like mortgage points.

That's what I was thinking. Haven't they extended it / renewed it every time since it was started?

It's been on for three months now. Exactly it Jason. Why fix something if it ain't broke. If July is a longer term next month will be.

Pretty sure that means it applies to vehicles for sale on the dealer's lot. Not applicable to one ordered from the factory.

The dealer makes monthly payments on the Jeeps on the lot, the faster they sell, the more money they make off them. So if the financing is only applied to a vehicle you drive home in, they prevent having to make a payment to Jeep on it.

Thats how I interpret it.

That's correct. We can/sometimes hold a rebate until the order comes in. But finance rates do go away. So you are not protected on a rate for a order.
