Normally the way it goes is that they say what your Jeep is worth (let's say $2500). You say you want to buy it back for say $300. They deduct the $300 from the $2500. You keep your Jeep and still get a check for $2200.
I just pulled those numbers out of my butt, so your numbers may be different.
Yeah the guy said thst average is between 2500 to 3500 but did note a brand new engine tranny tcase and rear axle. So I hope I'm at least at the high end of average

As for the insurance and buyback goes, I totaled my Jeep in October, (I t-boned a sedan making an illegal left, he fled the scene)
It was deemed a total loss at about 9000 in damages. I told the adjuster about what I had in the jeep for lift kit, tires, bolt on's etc, and they estimated the value at right around 4800. After paying my $500 deductible (damn hit and run asshat) and fees, and buyback cost, I got $3800 back, and got to keep the jeep.
Just talk with the adjuster and let them know your stance. Good luck with everything!
BA that's a ZJ for ya and it looked like it was awesome mine has a bit of death wobble any suggestions?
Does it happen at certain speeds or when hitting a bump? When at certain speeds, its usually a tire balance issues (been there) and if it happens when u hit a bump its most likely your track bar or one of your tie rod ends. Have someone move the steering wheel from left to right with the jeep turned off and go underneath and try to find a bad ball joint or bushing
