Wrecked my Jeep today
At least it wasn't the General
Even though the tub has a little crinkle under both doors, I think most of the damage is contained to the front clip. What happened was; I started moving with traffic after the light turned green, but traffic was in gridlock a couple of hundred yards ahead and I didn't realize it. Well everybody stopped and I hit the brakes but slid like I was on ice. BOOM, I went under the back of a pick up truck. Our bumpers never even contacted each other, but my grill and fenders did. I pulled over, the girl that I ran into stopped at the light, got out, looked at me, then checked her truck, brushed away the plastic from my headlight bezels and then left. No report no name exchange, nothing. And get this, the cops were sitting right there and didn't even see it happen. So even though I have to take care of my own damage, there is nothing going to my insurance co. I think I need a cold beer now.
John

So she jammed on her brakes, causing you to hit her, then fled the scene? Doesn't sound like your fault to me....

That sucks though.

What sucks is that this is a '91 that WAS in absolute pristine condition.

It's really sad to see your own ride wrecked. But at least the damage on your jeep is not so bad.

well her driing away was prolly a good thing for you. cuz no matter what its your fault ya know so her driving away saves u the increased prices for insurance and possibly a deductable from her insurance to fix anything wrong with her car. so overall that sucks that it happened but just think that it coulda been worse ya know

Yeah, that's kind of what I figured, either no insurance or suspended license or something. Anyway I scored a grill and both fenders for $140 today, and they are red.
