The guy was a cop and probably figured he was immune from any trespassing charge so off he went.

That terrain there is no joke. You could roll for hundreds of yards easy. People think oh New Jersey how bad can it be, but there is a reason there are several ski resorts in that area.

Gravity always wins. Since I've seen many video's of Wrangler OEM Roll Cages failing during relatively minor tip-over accidents, I'd say they are lucky to be alive.
