Cruise control switch? I know you said 02 but could it be a late 02/early 03? Ford uses VIN breaks to determine recall's. I would look into it, don't know how your insurance/state insurance commissioner handles it, sometimes insurance denies it if its under a safety recall like these are. From looking at the pattern of the fire the center looks fairly close to the master cylinder/brake booster area where these switches are located.....

Ouch man, that hurts.

Does everything in Arkansas catch on fire? I'm out in Texarkana right now looking for a place to live (relocating in ~2 weeks). Seems every neighborhood I drive through has burnt up houses and burnt up cars in it.

Remnants of this?

It hurts to breath, i am just so sad. I love the SVT lightning and to see one like that just kills me. I am very very sorry to hear/see that. So whats going to happen (insurance or ford going to do something?)
