My first and only accident...

Thought I'd share these since I came across them earlier today.
This was the first (and only *crosses fingers*) accident I have ever had. It happened TWO WEEKS after I bought my baby. I was parked at a gas station and was not even in reverse yet when this guy comes FLYING around the corner in a piece of crap rusty Tacoma... hit the corner of the back bumper and I feel (and hear) this AWFUL RRRRIIIIPPPP sound. I just remember getting out and seeing my poor baby's entire butt area lying in the middle of the parking lot. I proceeded to yell several choice words at him.. just over and over as in WTF I JUST BOUGHT THIS. Haha. Looking back, I bet it was hilarious to see just how angry I was. My boyfriend at the time had to leave work just to come calm me down so I wouldn't hurt the guy.

Looking at those again kind of makes me hurt a bit...

Oh yeah it was all taken care of by his insurance, so no out of pocket for me.
That didn't matter at the time though, as all I wanted to do was kill the guy pretty much.

2 questions.

1.) Did you try to upgrade the rear bumper with the insurance $$?

2.) You still with that Boyfriend? LOL

2 Follow up questions.

1.) I just noticed that your jeep is 2wd... are you going to trade it up to 4wd?

2.) May I ask what the X-BF did to lose a hot jeep chick like yourself?

1.) Planning on buying a 4WD actually. I bought the 2WD because I wanted a nice fancy, cute commuter vehicle. Plus I upgraded from an old crap car that I hated; I moved out of state to a large city and wanted a safe car I could rely on.

2.) Bahaha I don't care to discuss that 5 year mistake. Next!

haha. I guess I will assume that it was a HUGE mistake on his behalf.

I understand that. The 2WD model is a decent commuter. Its probably a good thing too... Having 2wd would keep you from modding the hell outta it and ruining a good daily driver. Now just get a cheap YJ or CJ to build up for a trail rig and you'll be set!

At least it looks like a simple repair. Replace the bumper and rear right lights then repaint.
I estimate a bit over $1,000 in parts and labor.
