MJ rolled!

I bought it for $250, it looked like this;

Put a new engine in it, new interior from a XJ and got her painted. Lifted with 31's. I did all the work myself in my garage in 3 weeks other than paint. It looked like this:

My son rolled it 3 months later

I rebuilt it in my garage "again" myself. Also had to drop in another motor since the other one ran upside down for 15min while my son was unconscious. All new sheet metal, re-skinned roof, all done in my garage with the help of some good friends! Just needs paint now.

Hopefully you don't let your son drive it again, lol. Glad to seems he was at least okay as there is no mention of that.

Its his truck now. He spent 5 hours in the ER being treated for hypothermia and a concussion. He was only moving about 5mph when the truck rolled. He was maneuvering around a downed tree on a snow covered hard top road and got to close to the edge of the road. The rear end slipped off the edge. About the same time that happened the front CAD disconnected and he lost 4wd when he tried to throttle out. Just a bad situation. The truck ran upside down for 15 min. It started right up after we got it home and pulled the plugs to prevent hydrolock. That engine ran for two years and 15k miles on less than 20psi of oil pressure!

I dropped a low mileage 98 HO block in it two weeks ago.

Some pics of the old and new motor.

New 98 long block

I got a deal on this one too! A friend of mine bought it for $1200, drove it home, parked it to start building it as a trail rig. When he went to start it up to move it into the garage it would not start. It sat for 2 years when I bought it for $250. I replaced the fuel pump and drove it home LOL! Took 30min to fix it! I had offered to get it running for my friend but he was stubborn.

Haha that is awesome. I got my YJ for cheap to a long time ago, it would not start the old man that owned it did not what to try and fix it, I think i paid $500 or less, loaded it on my trailer, it had a dead battery due to a bad install of some cheap aux lights.

You're clearly not from the north. The snow is where all the fun is!

Also OP, great "restoration" work. I love a good jeep pickup.
