I just purchased a Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4. I am considering getting the Unlimited Max Care warranty. I drive a lot of miles, and plan on keeping this vehicle for many many years. Is the warranty a good idea?
If so, what should I expect to pay for it?
Thanks

You mean an aftermarket "warranty"? Never had one cause I think they're a scam. Or a longer factory warranty,I think those are just a way to dig into your pockets. If they build a quality vehicle you should trust it to not have problems.

Warranty
Max Care is the unlimited time/unlimited mileage offered by Jeep/Chrysler.
I was wondering if it is a good idea because of the electronic equipment on the vehicle. One thing goes wrong, and it could cost a bit to repair.
Is this warranty a good idea? If so, what should I expect to pay?
Thanks

Most dealers offer a "No use, No lose" warranty. We have the same warranty when you buy a new or newer vehicle. When the Warranty is up and if you never used it. You get every penny back from it. Except for the state sales tax.
It is a good thing to get. It is just extra protection.

We have been quoted $3100 for unlimited miles and unlimited years on the factory direct Jeep warranty by Chrysler. Usually we don't buy extended warranties, because we feel they really don't typically pay. However, with all the electronics on new vehicles, and this also covers all electronics, I am wondering if we should purchase this. BTW, we typically go off road a few times every summer, and the skid plates will come in handy.

That would be a warranty Id get. I find warranties in general to be a bad idea, too.
