Gonna miss you GC

Well, the wife wrecked her 2012 GC last Friday. She is fine but upset about losing the Jeep. Will not be replaced by another GC, she bought a 14 Chrysler 300. But the good news is that it uses the same oil filter and I had just bough two new ones for it.

Now, the reason you are all here.

Welp, she had the 300 up until last night. Couldn't stand it and is now the proud owner of a 2015 GC Limited. Hope this one sticks around for a while.

Had the new GC less than 24 hours and we were side swiped on the interstate and the dude kept going. We caught up to him in traffic and got a pic of the back of his car but State Police said there was nothing they could do if we couldn't ID the driver. With damage being less than $1500 they didn't do an accident report but reported a hit and run. The NC plates on the car came back with an insurance violation.

Sigh, can't get a break...

Most of it is paint transfer as it looks like just his mirror hit it. It was loud as hell and was actually surprised there wasn't more damage. I was in the passenger side saw it scared the hell out of me.

There are two dents/creases, one below the mirror and another about the wheel well behind the headlight.

That really stinks! Especially that they won't do anything about it. What did they expect you to do? Run the guy off the road, and hold him there until they got there?

Wow wow. I hate people.

What I don't understand is how the cops could know the damage was below $1500???

Did you have an estimate done?

What if there is damage to the internals of the door? Maybe they have to replace a a fender? Repaint? etc...

I know I am stretching it, but I find it shocking the cops are auto body specialists now too...

I am pissed for you...
