No, but BMW used GM trannies and the Tiptronics in Porsche's are made by Mercedes(actually have an MB emblem on them). The suspensions in WJ's were designed by Porsche. There is a lot of part swapping in the auto industry.

It's always darkest before dawn... so if your going to steal your neighbors newspaper, that is the time to do so.

Actually you are correct. I assumed they used the MB 5 speed auto like in there other SRT models and models with the V8 engine, 300C Hemi+ and the Magnum Hemi+ and the Crossfire. They all had MB 5 speeds trannies in them, well when Daimler owned them they did at least. Considering the driveline and underpinings were from an old E class and SLK for the Xfire.

lol, if my wife didn't kill me from spending that kind of mad cash on a toy to make it go fast, she sure would kill me for nearly tearing my leg off from blowing up the transmission while "idling"

it may not kill you but by the time your wife gets to you, maybe you'd wish it had
