wilmington jeeps of all kind

Has anyone ever been to sutton lake to do some wheelin?That place is pretty cool it has some good sized dunes,lots of mud, and just some good old wheelin around.If anyone wants to go sometime just send my a message or just reply to this thread.It is a good idea to go with a buddy I almost got stuck in some unusual sand man that stuff was thick.

it's cool back there and though it's private property you are allowed back there which is nice..... i guess we can thank progress energy for something, haha

not a whole lot to do but their is lots of privacy and lately i've seen a lot of families down there fishing, 4 wheeling, shooting skeet, etc...

Just checkin in here I'm moving down to Wilmington the 27th.... So how crowded is Carolina Beach in the summer? I've only been there in March and early June...

i've heard about sutton lake from a few people, and am very curious about it, does any one have any pics of it?
and muddy, you said you almost got stuck in sand? and you have 33" bfg at's? dang that sounds like some soft stuff

i just saw a pic on the wilmington jeep facebook group, of a dune and erik at the top of it, it looks sweet and cant wait to see more pics and to go there

ok so im in jacksonville and i have not heard of sutton lake where is that at? if it is close enuf i might be interested in going there very soon

becker, sutton lake should be a quick ride for you. that is, about an hour and a half. take 17 south towards wilmington and take the bypass all the way to 421. the bypass ends at 421. take a left and sutton lake will be on you left. don't know exactly where you want to go on the lake. check out a map and you'll see it's near wilmington. hope it helps.
