towing laws in ga and fl

got a strange question. does anybody know the law regarding towing a trailer w/out fenders. I'm building a 4x4 trailer and might not go thru the trouble of covering up the 31's.

I ask because I *think* it is not legal to have a tire stick out past the fender flares? Somebody school me please ..

LOL. You must not be in Florida often. I am sure there is some kind of law but no one follows it around here.

I believe you do have to have a fender covering the tire on a trailer. However, the tire can stick out past it.

The only thing I could find in Florida Statute requires fenders on vehicles over 26,000 pounds and trailers over 2000 pounds.

As I'm progressing with the build, the trailer doesn't look right w/out fenders anyhow, so I'll be covering the tires most of the way at least.
