Sounds awesome man! Thanks for posting up! Your truck sounds like it is gonna be awesome! Where at in Powell County do you wheel or have you wheeled? Im looking for some different places here in the state to wheel at and have heard a few people talk about Powell County. Thanks

There is Spawls creek rd and bullhead rd. They are my favorite two, there actual county roads that stopped being maintained probably 30 years ago, all of the black top and gravel is no longer there its mud, creeks and deep holes. But since it is a county road it is NOT ILLEGAL which is the best parts the roads are about 3 miles long and probably 10 miles from each other trust me though it takes at least 45min - 1 hour to do each one there very technical. There not hard my brother did it in a stock suspension tj with A/T but you have to pick your lines VERY good or you end up stuck in 3 feet of water or on your top in a creek. There is also the pipelines in Powel co. which is really fun place to go muddling but it is Government property so there for illegal.

How far are those county roads say from Lexington?? That sounds like it could be some fun. You dont have to do anything super crazy to have some fun.

andrewfromky 02-12-2009 01:53 PM

there about 1 hour from Lexington but remember the gorge is only 25 min from both of those roads so what i did last time was hit bullhead and then spawls creek then go onto the gorge we left my house at 8 am which is in Clark co but im only 10 min from todds road got to the trails at about 9- 9 30 hit all of those and got back home about 6 or 7 that nite so it maid for a fun day of wheeling

sweet, I have been thinking about trying to set up the march club ride down to the gorge. This could be an idea. Head out and do these trails and then go to the gorge and then either camp or go home..Hmm...good thing you joined JF andrew haha

andrewfromky 02-12-2009 02:06 PM

yep i would be up for it... i did no some pretty could trails in carlisle but they have both been closed down now??
