Ashevegas is the shiznit just got back from seeing les claypool up there. You going to UNCA or A-B Tech? I dont know of any legal wheeling spot up there. You gotta go check out Wonderland. It is the best smoke shop out of any of them.

I think he asked where to wheel, not where to smoke.

There's all kind of forest service roads off the BRP from Asheville to Boone. Some are more interesting than others, but it's off road (some are dirt roads, some a little challenging, no Tellico, though.)

I wasn't really keeping track when I last went there, just get a map of the Pisgah National Forest, identify the FS roads, and start explorin'. I will say the Wilson Creek Gorge area is pretty good, in between Linville and Blowing Rock.

Pretty sure the National Geographic Maps show the FS roads. You can pick them up at most Outdoor/Hiking stores. Look on the back of the map before you open it up, it has an overall diagram of the Western NC/TN/SC/GA with blocked out areas that each specific map covers (they are numbered). Then just figure out the area you are trying to research.

You can get maps of the forest roads at a USFS Ranger station. Google to find one near you. Also, Delorme maps of NC (the book map) has the FS roads listed.
