I am thinking about heading up that way tomorrow with the family after church to have a look around at some of the FS roads that I have yet to explore. I was itchin' to go on that ride today but had some business with the kids to attend to.

Missed some fun!

We still on for Noon @ the meet location? Link is directions to the meet spot? Appears to be that way. Haven't been to this exact location yet.

Looks like me, the wife and 2 kids will be camping there on Sat night. Probably primitive. Will look around while on the trails for a good spot for the night.

Any pics or reports from other drives on these trails? Will be fun to finally wheel my new TJ.

Awesome! You can see my Jeep I think this one will be less crazy than the other one! See you there!

Is this the actual address? Should I go farther down the road potentially? Never met at this spot and don't want to be lost and miss out.

Unicoi State Park and Lodge
1788 Highway 356
Helen , GA 30545

If you are for sure coming add to the list!

3. Trailreadyjp Mark possibly +1 TJ

The address does not show the exact address for the lodge but it is not far from there. Once you get on 365 out of Helen you will cross over the dam for the lake at Unicoi (which is where your address above shows) then it is the next road on the right. (200-300ft)

The trails site I use is back up. Heres a link to where we are going. maybe Jer or Clay can confirm.

http://trails.firstworks.com/trails/...ult/index.html

In the search bar type in FS79 or Tray Mountain and scroll down. I use this site all the time to scout FS roads and nearby landmarks.

Cool site Tick!

I figured we'd take FS79 then down FS698. Last I was there, it was a rough ride but nothing too daunting. Lots of pull offs and secondary trails that I have never explored. Nice camping along the way as well. Clay is from these parts and may chime in here with additional ideas but for now, The 79-698 route is our current plan.

They are predicting Rain/snow as of now so we could be in for a wintery trail ride :-)
