New Girl on the block

Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself.
New to the Jeep world so be gentle with me.

Just bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler 4 door about a month ago and the mods started as soon as I left the parking lot.
Having a blast and loving every minute of it. Just wish I had done it a long time ago.

Welcome.
You picked a good forum to learn about your Jeep and what you need to do to modify it for offroading. Do all the research you can first to figure out what type of offroading you want to do and how much you want to spend.

From Charlotte, NC......the Mint Hill area.

And I know I am going to catch a LOTTTTTTTTTT of crap for this one............but no mud here....maybe a little dust but that's it. (Just had it custom painted.)Mines more of a mall crawler....and I regret it. I didn't plan on doing any sort of "roughing" it so I bought a 2 wheel drive. And I am kicking my own butt everyday about it. However, my hubby is on the prowl scanning ads and such looking for him a used Jeep since he just sold his Hummer last week, so at least then I can still have a little fun....at his expense of course
He's just bought a new Mini Cooper about a month before I bought my Jeep so I have been giving him crap about me having the "cool" car so now he's gonna make sure he has a toy that is better. (Men are just stupid)

Welcome Pinky & Hubby!

Uhhh... I hope you're not disappointed, but I don't think they make a 2 wheel drive Wrangler unless you special ordered a Postal Delivery Version! , Oh Grasshopper... you have alot to learn and this is just the place to do it! Stay tuned for knowledge (like I do) from some of the best Jeep
gurus on the web!

Welcome Pinky

I'm in Huntersville....from here, we're only about an hour away from Uwharrie. It's mostly dust and rocks the majority of the time up there; but, after a good rain, you can find ALOT of mud too. I'm originally from GA and prefer the mud over any other kind of off-roading.

Hey now; some of us like the best of both worlds...

haha.....it''s ok. And I don't mind being the "young grasshopper" for now.
Yes it's a 2wd. Didn't think I would want to take it off-road but if I had been smart I would have bought it anyway just in case. Oh well.....maybe my next one.
I did install a lift kit and bigger tires so at least I'm not completely " grocery getting".

Nothing wrong with that. It's just that since I have met my husband he has owned 4wd's that were lifted and Corvettes (for DD). Everything has been Supercharged and built to the gills. He just sold his Hummer that had a 6in lift and big tires so that it gave it 10 in total. So for him to own just a Mini only......well it was time for me to rub it in a little.........And I am LOVING it.
