Charlotte - Snow or Ice Today?..I'm driving the TJ

Who knows the weather...but there just might be a reason to put my TJ in 4wd.

2wd Truck - gets to stay in the driveway.

TJ - gets a weekday drive!!

Woo Hoo!!

Calling for at least 10" up my way... Let the games begin!

Common sense is surprisingly, not that common.

I'm getting rain. Cold, windy rain. I thought about driving the jeep up to North Georgia (Athens) this weekend but I guess I'll just take the honda. Sigh.

Got some snow/slush down here off of Harris Blvd/I-77 - slid around a bit in 2wd - never found a need for 4wd. I sure wish it would snow a bit more.

Got 6" on the ground just west of Winston. We just got home a little bit ago after heading out to play for the evening.

Do they have municipal plow trucks down there? In Maine the town highway departments are 98% plow trucks and then there's everything else.

I dunno about the rest of the state but around here the plow trucks on the roads are not local or state gov't. They seem to be contracted with local companies. You are just as likely to see a road grader plowing as you would a dump truck around here.

It snowed, sleeted, snowed, rained, snowed, sleeted, what a mess. I got out this morning and crunch crunch, a nice layer of ice on top of the snow.

about 8" worth
