You have a lot of the same inventory actually. I'd prob be more excited about the inventory if you had something that wasn't for a wrangler. There are more 4Xs out there.

All businesses have their growing pains. Just look at what is there now. Like I said Tom is always looking for what you and I want. One can't expect a place to have every single little thing that is made for a 4x4 in stock. In the beginning anyway. Things, such as this thread will help to evaluate what the customers are wanting. Not saying that if there were something you wanted, that it couldn't be gotten in short notice.

For just starting out, I would say they are on pace to be far above and beyond any of your local shops. As far as pricing goes, like with anything else, volume, when buying from automotive parts distributors, will somewhat dictate pricing at the store level. The more you buy, the better the price. When a business grows, typically, volume in sales and buying reflect this. Prices will fluctuate during this growing period and will again, typically, level out at a competitive level common with other businesses that are similar in size. From there you will have your year to year price increases as the market demands. If the prices are increased over short amounts of time and you are getting the same thing but yet it costs more or you may be getting less of the same thing and it still costs more, well that is inflation. Need anymore business 101??? If we support, as we can, any local business that are determined to grow, then we will all benefit sooner or later. Just my opinion.

Just so you know I wasn't trying to bash the store. I am glad we have another shop cause competetion is a great thing and everyone I've met there before the grand opening and during were super nice and seemed to know what they were talking about unlike some shops. I hope to see some of you out on the trail and I can say I can see myself buying from them in the future simply because they are close if they have what I need.

Oh, I do understand that you aren't trying to bash the store, this is a discussion topic anyway.

I came in this past friday and was very pleased with what I saw. I hope to have some greenage saved up for mods here soon. I will try getting by again soon to pick up some small odds and ends. I should have offered to advertise on my YJ when I was in there.....lol

Tech department??? I recently purchase a lift, there at Tom's. The instructions said it would take 2 to 4hrs depending upon my skill level and mechanical abilities. Well all went well with the install, the time frames were fairly accurate. It totally changed things, I know have great articulation and far greater clearance. I will now be getting bigger tires and possibly a winch for the rig. Now for the tech question. With the improved ground clearance, how do you get the mowing deck to reach the grass to cut it? It won't reach, even with the setting in the lowest position. I don't know maybe a mowing deck drop kit?
