All businesses have their growing pains. Just look at what is there now. Like I said Tom is always looking for what you and I want. One can't expect a place to have every single little thing that is made for a 4x4 in stock. In the beginning anyway. Things, such as this thread will help to evaluate what the customers are wanting. Not saying that if there were something you wanted, that it couldn't be gotten in short notice.
For just starting out, I would say they are on pace to be far above and beyond any of your local shops. As far as pricing goes, like with anything else, volume, when buying from automotive parts distributors, will somewhat dictate pricing at the store level. The more you buy, the better the price. When a business grows, typically, volume in sales and buying reflect this. Prices will fluctuate during this growing period and will again, typically, level out at a competitive level common with other businesses that are similar in size. From there you will have your year to year price increases as the market demands. If the prices are increased over short amounts of time and you are getting the same thing but yet it costs more or you may be getting less of the same thing and it still costs more, well that is inflation. Need anymore business 101??? If we support, as we can, any local business that are determined to grow, then we will all benefit sooner or later. Just my opinion.
