I would be interested in going up to Farmington, but before I do any serious wheeling I need to wait for tax season so I can install some recovery points.

Ok what I would suggest is going to midwest jeepthing, or mid rivers jeep club. I know we have newbie runs and scheduled runs. Also if you ever need anything jeep I suggest visiting Axleboy on Ehlmann, used to be industrial. Those guys know everything.

Went on the run Sunday with MWJT, drove about 4 hours down from central Il to Sayersbrook & had a blast. Give their site a look http://www.midwestjeepthing.com/
They have another Sayersbrook run scheduled for March 26-27th.

That was the run on Sunday wasn't it?
My wife took my Jeep and went to it. She said she had a great time. Learned quite a bit.
I saw a Jeep in some of the pictures with the Amsoil stickers on it but didn't think a whole lot about it. Guess it was you!

That it was! Your wife was following me around all day! She was about 2 jeeps back, I think. I wondered when I saw that plate if there was a connection. I need to learn some faces of the names I see on all of the forums.
It was a great time. We are hoping to make it back down for March Madness. Mr. Moke was our guide & spotter & he did an excellent job. There were several stock jeeps with us & everybody did a great job. I don't think anyone had to be winched or pulled all day. Although I did watch AxleBoy give an XJ have a little help getting off of a tree stump.
I went with the mild trail group because a buddy of mine went & it was his 1st time off road. He has an all stock WJ & I wanted to stay with him.
