Are there any landmarks or an easy way for us to identify where the trail begins from the road? Which road?

Where do you live? I live in Holiday Island which is about 5 miles north of Eureka Springs.

The trail heads are marked with small signs from the forest dept. just fire roads that are numbered. They are all on my forest maps but untill you happen on a nice trail the maps are only loose guides. I live due north of Pearidge just over the line.

The maps are forest maps, we picked some up at the mulberry river store down south in Cass Ar. on hwy 23. But you can get them at just about any fishing store in the Ozarks. Going up the mountain past the lodge out of Roaring River there is a dirt road that goes south with a large wooden sign on the north side of hwy that reads "scenic drive" I think it's FR2275, there are lots of forest roads that break off from there.

I have never been down the scenic drive road but have been down a few trails off of Sugar Camp Road.

I think it does say sugar camp senic drive, I don't pay it much attention anymore. As far as rating a trail I wouldn't know, but I have seen stock jeeps on a lot of the trails. Some trails would require a locker. Any clues on trail rating larry408? Have fun and tread lightly!

As far as I know I have nothing going on on the 8th. I have had my YJ for less then a year and do not know how the trails are rated in Mark twain.I do know that I broke the slip joint on my rear driveshaft trying to get up some stair steps. My YJ is stock on 31 inch tires so there is a limited amount of trails that I will go on.

My YJ is stock with 31 inch tires. You would be surprised at where you will be able to go at the park. I have taken off my knobby tires and have put my AT's back on for the winter. If anyone wants to meet at the park on the 8th, just let me know.

We can work it out the week before we go if we need to meet up anywhere in Eureka Springs before we go to the park.
