Tomorrow (4/18/09) at White Water Park, the base of the keystone damn. The local forum (Tulsaofroad.com) is having a "spring 4x4 games".

This family fun event is open for anyone and is free of charge. There will be team events requiring driver and co-driver, all off-road vehicles allowed. ATV's, Jeeps, Hummers, dune buggies, whatever! From stock to crazy, run what ya brung!

Itinerary for Saturday. Times are tentative depending on the previous race.
0930 Sign up and number draw
1000 Blindfold race
1100 Backwards race - Quad Slalom
1200 break for lunch
1300 Slalom race - Quad obstacle course
1400 Barrel race - all
1530 Put Up or Shut Up Shootout

Rain or shine, be sure to bring some water and a hat.
Must sign a waiver to play.
Under 18 required to have Parent present to sign waiver.
If you would like to volunteer help for the event, please contact Tolly or Loren.
Spring 4x4 Games 2009 event Rules

o All passengers must have seat belt on and latched when vehicle is in movement.
o All riders of ATV/bikes must have helmet on and fastened.
o No exceptions, if you do not comply you will be disqualified (DQ).
o Be courteous and respect others, if you show bad sportsmanship and/or abuse toward anyone during the event you will be disqualified and escorted away.
o One warning wil be given for infractions


Blindfold time trial rules:
o Driver is to wear approved blindfold so all vision is blocked
o Co-driver must remain in vehicle
o Co-driver cannot touch any vehicle controls while in course - (one warning)
o Time starts when any part of vehicle passes thru the Start Gate
o If any part of vehicle touches a cone or course boundary -10 second penalty
o Time stops when any part of the vehicle passes thru the Finish Gate.
o Team with lowest time for course wins

Slalom time trial rules:
o Time starts when any part of vehicle passes thru the Start Gate
o If any part of vehicle touches a cone or course boundary -10 second penalty
o Time stops when any part of the vehicle passes thru the Finish Gate.
o Team with lowest time for course wins
o Each team is allowed two(2) runs on the course – will keep lowest time

Backwards time trial rules:
o Vehicle gear must remain in Reverse during race
o Time starts when any part of vehicle passes thru the Start Gate
o If any part of vehicle touches a cone or course boundary -10 second penalty
o Time stops when any part of the vehicle passes thru the Finish Gate.
o Team with lowest time for course wins
o Each team is allowed two(2) runs on the course – will keep lowest time

Barrel race time trial rules:
o Time starts when any part of vehicle passes thru the Start Gate
o If any part of vehicle touches a cone or course boundary -10 second penalty
o Team is given 3 balls at start Co-driver must place one ball in each barrel
o If Ball misses, bounces out, or barrel falls over 20 second penalty
o Time stops when any part of the vehicle passes thru the Finish Gate.
o Team with lowest time for course wins

Barrel race for ATV and bikes rules:
o Time starts when any part of vehicle passes thru the Start Gate
o If any part of vehicle touches a cone or course boundary -10 second penalty
o 3 balls located at Start Gate rider take one ball at a time placed between the legs and place one ball in each barrel
o If Balls misses, bounces out, or barrel falls over 10 second penalty
o Time stops when any part of the vehicle passes thru the Finish Gate.
o Team with lowest time for course wins

Put Up OR Shut UP Race rules:
o $10 fee for each run of the course, fee goes into race purse
o Teams may run the course unlimited times
o Race ends 5 minutes after last team finishes course and no more teams pay fee for run
o Time starts when any part of vehicle passes thru the Start Gate
o If any part of vehicle touches a cone or course boundary -10 second penalty
o Time stops when any part of the vehicle passes thru the Finish Gate.
o Team with lowest time for course wins the purse

thanks Kev, i missed you too!

yeah i seen from the pics and whatnot that i missed out....and i forgot to call you and let you know i wouldn't be going...after i got the in-laws house, the wife told me we would be going to the wedding early to help set stuff up, thats when i decided for sure that i wouldn't go....but all is well.

i'll wheel with ya again soon enough.

Here's my rig....still in its infancy as far as mods go but it should be trail ready by mid summer!

Phase Three: Waggy 44 front, Scout D44 Rear, 4.56's, ARB's (F/R) SOA with YJ Springs, 35x12.50x15 BFG MT - Not Even Close to beginning

Also a mostly rust-free 1970 Scout 800A That I'll get to start working on someday...
