CLAYTON, OK

Clayton is located in the southeast
portion of Oklahoma close to Sardis Lake for those
who have not been there in the past. Registration, Saturday’s raffle and all
trail ride staging will be at the Rodeo Grounds.
All trail vehicles are required to display a Registration Decal
to ride in any of the guided trail
rides. We require that all vehicles be equipped with
seat belts for ALL passengers and have tow hooks
front and rear at a minimum. Likewise, it is strongly
suggested that all vehicles carry the following: fire
extinguisher, recovery strap, first aid kit and a CB
radio. The items will make the trail rides safer and
more enjoyable for everyone.

Trail rides are assigned on a “first come, first served”
basis. Signup sheets will be posted for all trails each
day in the show barn approximately 2 hours before
the trails leave for the day. Please note that vehicle
damage may occur when running any of these trails.
Trail difficulty ratings and descriptions are included here
and will be posted at the event as well.
Information on any additional trails* will be furnished
at check-in.
In case of special medical requirements, please notify
your trail leader prior to leaving the rodeo grounds.

Disclosure Statement

This is an off-road event and damage to one’s vehicle is always possible. As the trail rating
increases the possibility of damage and/or breakage increases dramatically. Though we attempt to reduce this risk, FWD-FWD and Superlift 4xAdventures makes no guaranties or promises either expressed or written that damage to one’s vehicle may or may not occur. Please make every attempt to be a good steward of the lands that we will be running including packing out all of your trash and any that you see on the ground. A lot of effort has been put in to provide fun and challenging trails for us to run and we do not want to give the land owners any reason to close these areas down. Please attempt to remain on the trail as it is cut, and do not make your own bypasses to difficult obstacles. The trail rating system is based on dry conditions and the rating is based on the most difficult sections of the trail. If at any time you feel uncomfortable doing a section of the trail notify your trail leader or tail gunner and ask for assistance.

New Vehicle Ratings

Because of various reasons, we have determined that our vehicle and trail ratings no longer
matched each other so we have revised the vehicle ratings to better fit the trail ratings.
Please review these so that you know what to expect at tech inspection since some vehicles
will not receive the same rating as previous years. We realize that some drivers with lower
rated vehicles would normally be able to handle some of the higher rated trails, but in order
to keep the trail rides flowing smoothly we have determined that the changes are necessary.

2 - Stock Vehicle (no lockers and tires up to 32”)
3 - Oversized tires (up to 32”) and 1 locker or 33” tires or above and open
4 - Minimum of 33” tires and at least one positive or soft locker
5 - 35” tires or above and one positive and one soft locker
6 - 35” tires or above and double positive lockers, winch recommended
Xtreme - Minimum of 39” tires and double positive lockers, winch required

Trail Descriptions

Mr. Frieling’s Land

Turtle Hump (3/4): The first section is a fun climb
through rocky sections that cross back and forth
through the trees. The second section is long climb
and path through the woods.

Double Bead (4): A great run through the woods with
several tight turns and hill climbs.

Lone Rock Trail (4/5): Named for the one large
rock that you cannot avoid toward the bottom of the
hill this trail starts off fairly tame and gets tougher as it
goes down the hill. Rated a 4 coming down the hill
and a 5 going up, especially if it is wet.

Limp Pine (5): The off-camber climb is only a hint of
things to come on the downhill section that has some
extremely off-camber parts with drop offs. To end the
day the trail follows a creek bed similar to that of
Snake Pit.

TSOB (6): This is a short trail that offers constant
thrills and spills while climbing various rocky sections.
The entrance is nothing compared to the obstacles
you will encounter in the middle and end of the trail.

Green Acres Area

New Trail (2): This fairly mild trail that follows an old
fire access road through the middle of the Green
Acres area

Walter’s Mule Road/Caves (2): This is the main
road through the new property that hooks up with the
road to the caves.

Hatch’s Long Way Home (2): Starts down from the
top of the mountain on Flagpole Hill and soon turns
back onto a road through Green Acres.

Fence Line (4): A sweet little trail with some off
camber hills ending in a sandy creek.

8-point (4): Hold on tight and keep your hands and
feet in the vehicle at all times. This trail is very
technical with severe off cambers...pucker up!

Backside Loop (4): Begins at the top of the
mountain and goes to the bottom. A right at the Y
begins a level 4 trail, a left begins a level 3 trail.

Wet n Wild (5): As the name implies this trail starts
off fast and furious in a creek and provides lots of
excitement. The end of the trail offers a difficult rocky
climb out or an easier by-pass for those who wish.

Jeff’s Ledges (5): Continues up the same creek
where Wet n Wild leaves off and has several ledges.
Be sure to take a minute to watch the crazies at Black
Sheep Blvd.

Green Mamba (5+): A thrilling ride through creeks
reminiscent of Snake Pit, some say it is even better!
Look out for the two large ledges in the middle of the
trail and be prepared to for the water.

Waterfall (5): A short trail up a couple of waterfalls,
the action can be viewed from Walter’s Mule Road.

Three Trail (5): A three trail rated a 5? Yes, this trail
climbs up several significant ledges on the way to the
top of the mountain.

Cakewalk (6): The trail has two sections each of
which follow a rocky ravine up the mountain and
provides many technical challenges.

Walk in the Park (6): It is recommended that you
have a winch to run this trail, although the trail sign
has a slightly different spelling.

Van Alstyne Jeeps in Action (6): Running from the
top of the mountain through a creek at the bottom and
back up, this trail has numerous off camber turns and
lots of excitement.

Black Sheep Blvd (X): Though the name implies it is
a road, this is far from it. Only the strong will survive
this one created by the Black Sheep!

Slim’s Slope (X): Not for the weak of heart, this trail
can start in the middle and it is tough, start from the
bottom and it is nuts.

Green Mamba Extension (X): A much more intense
extension of the already difficult Green Mamba.
Thrills are guaranteed.

Depending on the number of registered vehicles, all trails may not be run each day.
Check the bulletin board each day for the trails that are posted for that day.

Unfortunately, I regret to announce that without the support of our Host Club FWD-FWD, we will not be able to provide those Participants desiring a Guided Trail Ride with Experienced Local Guides therefor, the Superlift 4xAdventure Series will be rescheduled for a later date. Please check our website 4xadventures.:.Home for updated information on upcoming Events and we hope to see everyone Labor Day weekend at the Superlift ORV Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
