Silverton in Mid-July

Hey Colorado Jeepers. We are planning a summer vacation to the Silverton area in mid-July. In the past we have gone in late August to avoid snow in the higher passes but due to schedule conflicts we need to go earlier. What is the snow pack like this year and what are the odds of being able to some of the higher passes like Engineer? Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Most of the trails in that area are plowed open by bulldozer in June.

I was in that area in early June 2008 and Black Bear, Yankee Boy Basin, and Imogene were still closed.

Bushducks is pretty good about having the most up to date status of the trails without calling the local ranger districts directly.
