Its hard to get good pictures around there, unless your out on the spill way, or on one of the tall hills away from all the trees. Otherwise its pretty dense in overgrowth. I have a couple of pics of around Disney on my Facebook, unfortunately while I am at work I cant add them to here. But feel free to add me if your from around here, I live on all these sites when i am at work.
The weekend is almost here. I had to break down and buy some tires, my old tires had weather cracks real bad, and one started letting out air faster than I could put it in the tire. So that was a blow to the old wallet. I ended up getting Maxxis buckshot mudders, the only reason I went with them, is because I could buy them on credit to my name, since I dont have enough money to buy tires out right, and I dont own any credit cards. $640 for 4 tires, and that includes mounting and everything. Not bad $160 a tire. 31x10.50's
Had a ton of fun out at Disney this weekend. Found out my jeep can nearly float on water, and stay running, so that was a big surprise for me. But in general, had a lot of fun, and didnt tear anything up. Found out the best modification I have done for my jeep is take the swaybar off and leave it off.
I live in OKC. Got a í97 Sport last month and been loving it! Been working on it, just small things like wiring and trying to track down a problem. The problem is that when I hit a decent bump (or not even that bad really) in the road, the engine cuts out, misses kind of. I mainly notice it in 1st or 2nd between 2,000-2,500 RPM. On a dirt track itís of course really bad. On a smooth road it purrs like a kitten in all RPM ranges. The engine warning light doesnít come on and I donít have any codes. I know itís not the main electrical since the lights donít flicker or anything else like that. I figure I have a loose connection somewhere in either the ignition or fuel system. But where do I start? Anyone know of a somewhat common place to start?
The only four wheeling Iíve done is in the logging and forest roads in eastern Idaho on the western and southern boundaries of Yellowstone. Had a great truck, í77 Dodge Power Wagon 4x4 with a 440, short bed and a 20yr old Ramsey 12k winch. It didnít have air (didnít need it up there) and the wife made me sell it when we moved here. I sure do miss it. Hope to get together sometime.
I just picked up another jeep this weekend. I now am the proud owner of a 77 Jeep CJ5. This jeep will be my new offroad beast. I am in the process of replacing the clutch, and then afterwards I am installing a 4in BDS suspension lift hopefully sometime soon. And I am wanting to put my T-18 transmission in it, but gotta save up for an adapter. Anyways, what have you all been up to?
