same with the academy, you can go turkey hunting once a year there. Also when i live in oklahoma i had to drive to the border of texas to get real beer

They sell the real stuff in all the liquer stores, just not bars and gas stations. Some bars have bottled imports (Stella, spatan, etc...) but you'll pay $5 a bottle.

Colorado is great!
Definitely the way to go.
Beautiful trails, great hunting and fishing, but not much deep mud if you're in to that sort of stuff.
You shouldn't need convincing though... I mean, you can't really argue with the Rockies

I'll be submitting my packet this week with Ft. Carson as first on my list, followed by Ft. Sill and Ft. Anywhere... of course, I've just had about six other NCO's come tell me to forget about it because apparently the active component is no longer accepting prior service transitions. The great news is that I'll have plenty of time to hunt/fish/jeep around when i'm unemployed in July. I'm still going to submit my packet to see what happens, but I'm significantly less excited about this whole thing.

they are still accepting reservist, but your mos will prob change

they are not supposed to release the freeze until september, by which time I'll have extended my MOB here for another year. On top of that, my recruiter quit working for me once they put the freeze on.
