Buena Vista / Salida Trail Conditions this week?

I'll be in Buena Vista Colorado this weekend. Anyone know the current trail conditions? Which trails would you recommend?

Haven't been up that way in a few weeks, but the forecast is for heavy snow in western Colorado this weekend. Be prepared for winter weather!

As far as I know all roads are open. With the chance of Snow in the mountains, there is a chance that some could get snowed shut. Also the 2nd hunting season starts on Saturday. You will probably encounter plenty of them. There are tons of roads to go on up here so it all depends on how hard you want to do. Easy to extreme are all in this area. One of the little bit wilder ones is Chinaman's Gulch. I have done it several times this year. I will be open for quite a while. There are some good obstacles to play on there. Carnage is extreme. You need to be BIG to even attempt it. All the res are pretty mild to medium. If you want to know of any specific trails, just PM me.

My friends and I have been planning this trip for several months now.I just got my new water pump in today, plus a few other items that needed my attention. We plan to do Carnage on Friday. Then we are camping Fri. evening and will decide on Saturday.I have been watching the weather and that could determine the trail on Saturday? I will be driving my Yellow CJ-8, so if any of you meet me on a trail please wave or if I am stopped please come over and say Hi.
