i had to adjust my steering stops as well. it does limit the turning radius a little, but not much that it is even noticeable. i would do that for now and then when you got long arm or even just adj, arms you can remove them, as long as you also fix the backspacing on the wheels. adjusting the steering stops should take you about 5 minutes(literally)

Got my diff covers. These things are frickin hyooge.

Got the HP30 geared and installed. I need to replace the pinion seal (effed up and installed it before the oil slinger ) and align it, but other than that it's great.

tom, we're gonna have to talk at the campsite. i am very interested to know how the install went, and how you did it. i know the basic concept of how to do it. but some experienced words always help. especially when your running the exact same axles as me

Yeah man it's an easy job with all the right tools, just not for the impatient.

I'd been trying to use a regular bearing separator to pull the D30 carrier bearings and it turned out to be a really lousy way to do it, I still ended up grinding off the old ones. There are notches on the factory 8.8 carrier that let you use a 2 jaw puller and that one is a piece of cake.

When you do yours I'll lend you my setup bearings, that way it won't matter if you trash the old ones and you won't have to buy them or take the time to make them.

Well - here is what has been accomplished:

1.) AirFlow Snorkle is installed. Airbox is completely waterproof, all the way down to RTV'ing the lid on...

2.) Gas Tank Skid and hidden hitch modded with a 20lb sledge to work together.. now they are installed..

3.) Fender Trimming is finished. No more bent fenders I hope!

4.) New Front Driveshaft is installed.

5.) Lots of fuse replacements and some wiring fixes

6.) 4.56's and rear ARB go in Monday... yay!!!!

SO little time before this run!!!!

maybe you can tackle the frog hole w/ all that waterproofing

Like two weeks ago I decided against spending almost $500 on rokmens with plates and gaskets.
