Just an FYI. Power Lines in MA are owned by people, not the power company. The power company has an "easement," allowing them to use the land... something about the greater good... A chunk of the ones in Western Ma are owned by various lumber companies (Harvesting companies, not like Home Depot & Lowes). However, some of them are privately owned and require permission from the land owners to be on...

these power lines run through a state reservation, and a friend of mine works as i fire fighter and he said there part of the state property. Thanks for the information. but people do own land in the reservation that i wheel in.

The Freetown ledge road, upper and lower are both State owned property and legal only when the sun is up. I would hardly call that wheeling though, people drive through there in Honda Civics.

The power lines in that area probably arent the best place to "wheel" either, lots of angry hicks with shotguns and tons of No Trespassing signs.

Join a club and see the light.

yea the road to the Freetown ledge is nothing just a tourist attraction for someone not around this area. but there is places in the power lines you can go to that have trails, Hills, mud, water, rocks, its not extreme but its fun if you live in around here

yea gas is a killer but i only burn like a 1/4 tank or so in about 3-4 hours. the Res isnt to hard core. so your stock tj would be fine as long as u have a spare tire. theres alot of pointy rocks in there. The first day i bought my Yj i brought it down Copicut rd and I took a 4" peace of my allum rim off in the dark. thank god a had a spare.
(my jeep getting fixed within the week)
