alright here is the official thread of the people who have shown interest:

we will meet at 10:00 am on Sunday March 8th, 2009

*******make sure that you or someone you are bringing has a recovery point in the front,rear, or both if possible!!!
also if you have tools, straps, spare parts anything else bring it, you never know what we may need. if someone or a couple people have a winch that would be ideal. Also, bring food and drink for the day that you will need as well as we will most likely stop and eat on the trail*****

still waitin to hear back from the usual guide i go with. unfortunately i am not fit to be a guide in the barrens, iv been there a bunch of times but its so big thats its hard to learn. ill update as i get info

guide? what? lol i thought this was a get together among jeepers carousing in the epic wheelin spot we call wharton haha

well pick up a map and my gps can point us towards the closest road!

lemme tell ya..the maps they give ya at the ranger station suck ***,there hard to follow and know exactly where u are..although the gps does help a bit..ive used mine in there although i knew where i was and it actually guided me to the road,i was suprised

yeah the pines are just so freakin huge. its tough to figure your way around unless you have been goin there for years

ive been to the northern barrens (manchester township/lacey)

wharton isnt my stompin grounds, so let me ask, should i take my sway bar off before i drive down there? what dif will i notice?

im counting on you guys to tell me where to go cuz ive never been there before, so i hope someone knows where they to o cuz i dont feel like gettin lost out there hahaha

well, ill be wheelin my 99% stock cherokee on 29.5's with all my sways connected for the second time down there

my yj on 33's with everything disco'd did better but you can get through most of the stuff in stock form. and the really bad *** stuff generally has a go around
