I have talked to some of the rangers and people who work for the state parks commission. It looks like this will all be easier to organize with a little more time since we want it to be an event in the public eye, hopefully educational.
I am targeting late May or June. I will be talking to a variety of people in the coming week and I will have a date and some of the basic information to share with everyone by next weekend.
Thanks to everyone that have shown interest. I got a little overwhelmed with the support and the various organizations that contacted me directly or who's contact information was passed along to me about being involved. From the looks of things we are going to have Boy Scouts, some local church organizations, Jeep Forum members, my club guys(www.NJFBOA.org
), and members from other various car and truck groups from all over the area.
This has somehow changed from a simple idea to help clean up the woods into a fantastic opportunity for educate and participate in the community around us.
Thanks to everyone for their support. It feels great to see how we as Americans can rally to take care of our own local needs and help one another.
