Wharon Forest 2-7-09 Atison Rangr Station

There has been talk in other threads and i just started the offical. We will be going on saturday 2-7-08. We will decide the meeting time later on.

Hey, this has been nagging at me for a while, since I went to high school right near wharton, the town in north jersey... is this forest there?

No this is not the place. Wharton State Park is where the wheeling is done, that is basically the southern part of New Jersey. If you head south on the parkway, you drive through it.

No this is not the place. Wharton State Park is where the wheeling is done, that is basically the southern part of New Jersey. If you head south on the parkway, you drive through it.
Not quite. Wharton State Forest is a huge tract of land in Burlington, Camden & Atlantic Counties, mostly in Burlington though. The Parkway doesn't go through it but it will get you close. You may be thinking Bass River State Park. The Parkway runs along the eastern border of that.

For a general idea of where it's at. Wharton is roughly bordered on the south by Atl. Co. Rt 542 on the north by Bur. Co. Rte. 532 on the east by Bur. Co Rt. 563 and Rt. 206 runs right through it on the west side then it still continues almost to Atco & Medford
