Were are the Junk Yards in Capital District NY?

I live in upstate NY, Saratoga area and i just cannot find good junkyards. I have two right by me but one you cannot go into and the other has been picked over with the two xj's and no wranglers. Can someone tell me were i can find a decent junkyard in the Saratoga/Schenectady area? I need a new fog light switch for my 96 and some other parts. Thanks!

Unfortunately, they are few and far between from what I've looked for. None around here in Albany, either. There's one out in Voorheesville, but other than that there's nothing really. Most seem to be further west of us.

If you have to, however, check out that one if you're willing to make the drive. It's called Dunston Bros. in Voorheesville, NY.

mind you, I'm not sure about them having any XJs on hand right now, nor allowing you to enter and pick and choose, but if you find their number in the phone book (it's there for all of us in the tri-city), give them a ring.

old thread i know, but I'm curious... is one of the places in Saratoga "Olde Saratoga U-Pull" or something like that? I just stumbled across their listing in the yellow pages, listed it as being in Schuylerville. Anyone know what that place is like? I'm in the Albany/Delmar area and don't want to waste 45 mins driving up there if the place is a joke.

When I was living in Binghamton for school I was spoiled by having Gary's U-Pull-It 10 minutes from my apartment. That place is HUGE and cheap, with good people that work there, and they usually have a pretty good number of Jeeps. My brother is out there right now and whenever I visit we always make it a point to go there at least once

Unfortunately I can't seem to find any other decent self-serve yards closer to Albany..
