Sunday June 7th, Wharton State Forest, Mud and Historic/Folk Rides

Sunday June 7th, 2009 Meeting at 9am heading out at 10 am
Wharton State Forest
Mud and Historic/Folk Ride followed by a Picnic.

There will be two groups going out this day, one is designated a MUD ride. This ride is for the folks that want to get muddy and stuck. The second group will be a Historic/Folk ride. Participants will visit Historic parts of the Barrens and places that are know for particular Folk Lores associated with the area.

This is an open ride, to anyone that wants to attend. Last year there were over 60 vehicles in attendance.

Sorry no rocks. I know many of us hate the mud that's why we made it into two separate groups. One will be more or less on sandy roads and the other will be in the mud! Gives people a chance who normally wouldn't go in the Pines a chance to visit.

ill be there, ill probably meet some of my friends there, ride the historic ride for a nice little bit of info, then go hit the mud pits

I'm off that week, I think I will try the mud ride. Water road, 1/4 mile mud that sort of thing I hope!

Of course. Will probably be two separate mud runs depending on rig size alone. The historic ride will be for those who hate the mud.

We are planning on camping Saturday night after our Meet and Greet. Where in CT?
