wondering is anyone else has been down here. took a trip, found this seasonal road off rt 55 in the town of neversink. for those who have been down, does it come out anyplace or just dead end?
i went a ways down until it opened up in what seemed to be a marsh of sorts, where i seen a bald eagle flying around the dead trees out in the distance. ( very cool !! ). i crossed over some smooth rock, but the road quickly turned into what looked like an old atv or snowmobile trail and since i was alone, as usual
, i turned around because i didn't want to get stuck without someone else to at the very least, help push.
for those who haven't been there and are in the hudson valley area, check it out. great spot to go with have a lunch and a few beers. just don't leave your trash. it's state land, and aside from legal reasons, i didn't see even so much as a cigarette butt on the ground and it was beautiful. lots of mud on the way down. mild trail, no crawling, but 4 wheel is needed in a spot or 2.
