November 18 - 19th Post Run Discussion Thread

Everyone make it home ok? Turned out to be just Kyle in I in the second group today. We managed to break the Sunday curse, we'll sort of... At lunch we noticed he spit a cap off a front axle ujoint and decided to call it a day.

Anyway, it was a great weekend. Whompum was slow in a big group, but that trail was really cool (for the guys on 33s). I think Nicholas is the only one who didn't come off the trail without body damage.

Sahara01 went WAY out of his way this weekend by helping BigJeepJay with his hydraulics and providing a place for us to wrench on Nicholas' jeep saturday night. A million thanks, man.

Here's the pic thread I started:

Yepper. Needed to grind a couple holes out for alignment, but otherwise VERY well made.

Had a great time this weekend, hope everyone made it home ok. Staying in the hotel was a nice change (even though the weather in the room changed just as much as outside did ), and it ended up costing close to what RR would have ($13 - $15/night). The hotel was nice that we stayed at, I think we might consider staying there when we go in the summer but only when it's raining and when we can't get the camper.

Can't wait for the next run!!

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Thanks, everyone for making this trip the best one yet. Thanks especially go out to Scott for spotting my fender flare into another Jeep and Jay for getting his hands dirty. It's always good to see everyone again, and meet new people. So.....when's the next one?

Craig, the "I just broke my winch and now I need to kill someone" guy apologized and asked me to pass it on.

Well, I popped the dent out of the driver's side one, and the light is only duct taped on. I still need to get a new lens. We were getting everyone up on some rocks for a group picture and Scott was spotting me up in between a couple Jeeps. Every time I'd get up on this boulder, I'd slid a little to the right. Well one time I slid a little too much and fell off. I barely clipped the bar on the side of Jay's rocker guard and it just ripped the flare apart. So now the story I'm telling is a rock tore it up, because I don't want to look like a loser who messed up trying to get a picture.
