Green Ridge Trail Run - 11 October 08 - Maryland

Any one down for Green Ridge Run next weekend (October 11th or 18th).

18-mile trail, camping, scenic sites.

Let me know if you're in. I am going, its just a matter of coordinating with other jeepers if any one else wants to go

I possibly will be out that way next weekend. What can you tell me about the park? I run a stock TJ. Is there any reason to think that I would not be able to do it? This is my DD so I do not do rocks.

Thanks for the help!

I went camping there 9/26 - 9/28. We got poured on! Out of the 3 tents in our group, ours was the only dry one...lol Did a nice, lazy 11 mile canoe trip on the Potomac. Went night wheeling on the 18 mile loop. You'll be fine with a stock Jeep. I run the whole loop in 2WD. Have fun!

screammachine, I havent been there yet, but from what I read, its an easy trail. Green Ridge State Forest offers an 18-mile loop trail located on East Valley and Stafford Roads for off-road vehicles (ORV). All unregistered motorcycles and four wheelers (three-wheel ORV's are not permitted) are required to obtain an identification permit from the Department of Natural Resources. Permits are available from any DNR Regional Service Center or State Forest offices that have designated ORV trails.

Here's their site: http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclan...greenridge.asp

Hi everyone! I have a 2004 liberty 4x2 . I've never been off roading (because it's a 4x2!) and I would like to start going out to some easy trails. I don't know how the Green Ridge is as far as difficulty, but if you guys say that minivans and subarus are doing it, then I SHOULD be ok, lol.

Z

Edit: My wife wants to go now... so I guess I'm going!
