I'm coming as well now as long as I'm not still finishing off my basement on Sunday.

"When Life starts to pass you by..............Downshift"
Then again that used to be my motto until I got the Jeep, now that doesn't even work half of the time.

I used to go up there with my hunting friends. We would all go during Spring turkey season every year. I never got into turkey hunting, so when they went off to go hunting, I'd go trout fishing, and drive all around the mountains exploring whatever I could find. Found a few nice (4WD ONLY ROADS ) that are not part of the 18 mile loop trail. At the time, I was driving an '84 S-10 2-WD truck. Went through alot of nasty trails, and through streams. Dam, I had fun up there!!! I'd burn a couple tanks of gas in an average (4) day camping trip up there driving all through the mountains. Sometimes, I'd get lost, and have had a hard time finding my way back to the camp site, that is why I'd fill my tank before venturing out. Ended up in West Virginia, Pennsylvania some times.

Alot of people on this forum would probably say that Green Ridge sucks for wheelin, but I don't go up there for wheelin purposes, I go for the atmosphere, the friendly people, and getting away from the same bull crap that all of us have to deal with by living from our day to day commute to work, or work, or with dealing with all the idiots at where we live at.

I wholeheartedly agree mud n beer. It isnt great for the wheeling but like you said, i dont go up there for the wheeling. When you're up there you get away from all the BS you deal with in the real world....perfect example is Rockville where i live.
