I have an 87 4Runner with a tired (340K miles) 22RE 4cyl, running 37" Swampers. I know all about the "fun" of highway driving...
I have a tow bar set up behind my FJ80 Land Cruiser and I pull the Turtle where she needs to go. Not as good as a trailer but a lot cheaper until I have the money and space for a trailer.

What a great idea! Unfortunately due to unexpected bills I wont be able to make it this weekend. Next Sunday hopefully, I will be there exploring! Does any one know for sure that you can ride the roads in the middle of winter?? Ive never been winter wheelin proper.

Do you have a Tan FJ40 with super swampers on it? I saw one at Walmart in Dartmouth yesterday. If so you are so lucky, I always wanted one.

Why would it matter if you're staying on marked roads?
