Much of the property in Shamokin is RAC land. GO GET YOUR RAC PERMITS! Me and my crew got them this Monday when they began selling them. There are 1000 permist availible this year and by noon our permits were already in the 90s. there is a TON of land. From what we can see on satellite imaging sites, most of it looks very good for wheeling! It's $100 for 22,000 combined acres of property. That's the same cost as three days at Raucsh Creek, great deal if you ask me.

We spoke to the owner of RAC when we got the permits, Jeeps are A-O-K, and one permit covers whatever you bring there as long as it is registered and insured. He was a nice guy, thanked us for buying the permits and said to go have a blast!

I can't wait to discover some of new wheeling spots!

Maybe we should try to plan a RA trails weekend in March or April. It should be a great place to explore.

How about a Super Bowl Sunday trip? I think Vetteboy has done some awesome work on this with his GPS.

That's this Sunday right? I don't follow football. I'll be out on my quad up by me this weekend. I can go after that, probably as a passenger or on my quad until I get the parts to fix my steering.

Can anyone post / PM me some info on what you have to do to make this a legal wheeling spot? I used to hit Shamokin frequently until it was closed for a bit by the local power company.
