rausch creek has been like this for a while now, maybe pap finally realized you don't really need 3 rigs in a group.....

If you look at the date of the post from PAP it's 2003....

i think thats a bad idea, 2 rigs doin greens or low blues is fine, but the upper level trails should never be done w/ just 2 rigs, if one rig rolls there should be one vehicle to help w/ recovery and one to go get more help if needed, the 2 rig minimum is no good IMO

I agree, IMO at the least both rigs need to be very well equipped for recovery, including winches and all the necessary accessories.

I could just see Kyle buried in a mudhole and me buried on my BFG ATs-turned-slicks trying to tug him out.

It's true, but the way I see it they had to make the change... Rausch Creek has a 2 rig policy, and being somewhat close together PAP was probably worried people would go there instead if they couldn't find a 3rd rig
