Wellsville Run, 20 June 2009

A few of us went to Wellsville yesterday, it took me this long to get around to posting up pictures. Enjoy, and I'll come back and label/tag them later.

Brian going up a little ledge on the way to Sturgess

Scott on the same ledge

Mike about to begin the climb up Sturgess (finally got a picture that does it some justice)

Mike on the ledge 2/3 of the way up Sturgess

Brian coming up Sturgess

And promptly halting his climb :P

This is pretty much where Brian decided he was about to lose it and pulled line (probably a good choice)

Scott heading up Sturgess on 31s w/ a rear Detroit

My Jeep being all lonely at the bottom of Sturgess (but I really just wanted a picture of my newly painted wheels before I replace them)

Brian's attempt to enter the hot tub while locked. Results: Fail.

Scott entering the hot tub

Caption would read "Can't afford a front Detroit locker? Get a Mike! Mike: the other traction-aid device"

He made it up eventually

A warning to us; abandon all hope (and stub shafts), ye who enter here

Brian on VW hill

Scott in the same place

The obligatory "mirror pic" while I was out in front (took it while driving, probably not the smartest idea)

And then we hit this trench.... only place I had to get pulled all day

Scott in the same trench

And then we hit this other trench, and Brian got a lesson in balance

And yeah, we honestly had to hold up the Jeep while Scott pulled him out.

Also where the meaning of the word "slow" was contemplated.

Mike and Brian heading up powerline hill

Scott was behind them as well

Then I decided I need some pics of my Jeep with scenic backgrounds

This is about as scenic as Ohio gets

Are you running the 31 inch KM2s? If so, you'll be fine coming out with us. I mean, I'm running 31 inch pretty bald street tires, and my suspension makes up for some of that, but I'm also running open diffs, and I've surprised myself both times that I've been out this summer.

Oh man...good pics Phil. That "little puddle" was fun, good thing it didn't get any worse than that.

The only time Phil had to get hooked up...he is an enigma

And my turn (after my initial awful line choice)

Nice job with the pic's Phil. I had another good time at Wellsville with you guy's, you're a good group of wheelers. Brian, you're always good for a show as well.

I know Phil can't make the trip in August, but you need to put it on your calendar Brian. Aug. 14-22.

Catch you guy's later.

-Mike

Thanks Mike, glad I could entertain you ...I had a rough day

Aug. 14-22...as long as nothing life changing comes up, I will be there.

Any trips being planned for July?

That would make for a good wall decoration. Not so much for the visual, but more for the story: "Why is that bald crappy tire on your wall, Phil?"

"Because it was unstoppable on numerous occasions!"
