I want to take a trip out there next summer with my ZJ and a couple friends who have quads and stuff. It should be a good time. I went 2 summers ago with a bunch of people on quads and dirtbikes and it was a blast. The only sucky part of the trip was sweating to death in all of our riding gear. However, I'll be in my A/C'd Jeep next time.
So if I go there first time and I don't have a flag...
1) I stop in local Wal*Mart or Meijer and get a sticker first...?
2) then I go to the park and buy flag there...? Will be able to mount it just like this or I better have my cordless drill and some screws with me...?!?
you can buy everything up there if you would like to
if you have a tj bring a cordless drill and a 3/8 drill bit and drill a hole right next to your driving lights or you can buy a bracket and mount it some where on the bumper flags are about $22 i think (you only need one to get in )
or 2 flags to look cool and brackets are about $10 or so and a daily pass to the park is $6 and an ORV sticker is 16.50

I'm going June 8th or there abouts for a day or two and then again probably in late July. Got a bracket fabbed up with a quick disconnect. Just need to find a flag locally or get it when I get up there.
articcat843, I like your xj mounting bracket for the flag, where did you get it? and how much? I am going down to silver lake sand dunes, and this will be my first every jeeping experience in my XJ, it's completely stock, and Im sort of stressed wanting to be prepared but I haven't a clue where to get a 10 ft flag except for down there... and I was hoping to have a mount read so I could just pop her in... driving like 6 hours to get there.. any help or tips or anything from anyone would be awesome : )
Wow, old thread. Arctics Jeep has since been on long arms and 35's, to now being parted out. We took the tires off for the last time yesterday.
I dont know where he got it, everytime I went with him he had a new bumper with a mount on it. The store in front of the dunes (David Allen Racing) has a bunch of mounts and will help you with whatever fits best.
