Hey all
I want to go to the Silver Lake Sand dunes on May 6th
How do i get a permit and all that stuff. Does it cost Money.
Just tell me how to do this haha. Thanks. Brian

im goin up there this weekend with the tj and a few quads. I think the ORV sticker is $16.95, get it ahead of time, the ones they sell at the dunes fall apart quickly. You also need a State Park sticker, which i think you have to buy there. For the Jeep, the flag has to be on the front, and be over 10 ft. tall

i plan on going there again this summer too. it'll be my first time with the Jeep there, where do you guys mount them in front? I remember they used to sell mounting brackets there, but they were on the expensive side.

i took my bumper caps off, and im just going to drill one of those holes a little bigger, and put it there.

yes u can if you choose to buy your ORV sticker there or u can buy them at miejers or any walmart too

i think its 16.50 for orv and 6.00 for daily pass
and a packed lunch unless you want to eat at the resturant there just before the dunes which has really good food for a cheap price

oh yeah you have cool looking jeep is that a 4inch lift ?

i have a 4.5 inch lift and 31 inch mtz's

oh and do you know when orv sticker expirer, i have one from last year but i dont know if its still good.

the orv stickers are only good for the year they are purchased
so every spring you will have to purchase a new sticker

I have never been to Silver Lake and would like to run there for a Saturday. I know it gets busy and would never consider doing it on a holiday weekend but does anyone have any other tips?

yeah holidays i have heard you end up waiting in line for hours to get into the dunes
i usally go on saturdays mid afternoon from 12 noon to about 6 pm
or on friday mornings right after i get off work ( i'm a 3rd shifter )

let me know when u decide to go and i will see if i can make it also
because my wife takes pictures for a side job and i want some pics of my jeep on the dunes
