Think there might be a little confusion here...Pipeline and McCauslin are two different places actually. The pipeline is located on Hwy W east of Mountain, and McCauslin Mountain is located on Hwy F Northeast of Lakewood. McCauslin being the more challenging of the two as far as technical trails go and like someone said they have onsite camping(super friendly staff). The pipeline on the other hand is 60% sandy/washout trail with a few small technical spots and some mud, but beware of the bigger mudholes, 50+" tires have been spotted more then a couple times on the big weekends.

brad what brings you up to wabeno? just curious cuz i'v closed Rustys(bowling alley) a time or two.....wait....i mean thats where i grew up!

We go every year up to Hurley, Wisconsin. It's at the North end of Rt. 51. There's tons of old ATV trails all over the place up there that are do-able for a stock jeep of pretty much any caliber. I used to run my XJ all over the place up there. I just got (yesterday, actually....lol) a YJ to replace the Cherokee so this year's trip might be a little more "fun"...

I personally like to get to McCauslin 2-3 times a year, maybe the pipeline on a big weekend just mainly for the "entertainment" of high horsepower trucks on 44's with half drunk drivers. If you check out wi4x4.com the guys that post on that board head up there quite a bit. If i had to take a guess I would say that a group of us might be heading to McCauslin mid-summer and then again Labor Day possibly. I'l make sure to put a post up when a date gets set.
